Ariel Lacey (she/they) is a queer fabricator, activist, and artist currently based in Kansas City, MO. With over twelve years of experience in almost every department of technical theatre, Ariel brings an eye for precision, a collaborative mindset, and enthusiasm to learn to every project.

Currently the Associate Props Supervisor at Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Ariel has worked in shops across the country including Santa Fe Opera, Opera San Jose, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Paper Mache Monkey. In the past few years, they have also discovered a deep passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion work that called them to serve as co-chair for the IDEA committee at Kansas City Repertory Theatre. This hasn’t stopped within the theatre community - Ariel is deeply involved in her local lindy hop scene where she not only teaches beginner and intermediate classes, DJs jazz music, and performs - but also serves as the Director of Safety and Community Engagement.

When Ariel isn’t dancing or working, they are reading fantasy and science fiction by queer and BIPOC writers, constructing a new garment, or relaxing with their partner and their dog.
